ROMS complies with and exceeds AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009, providing competitive advantage for your business..

ROMS is the world’s only multimedia enterprise risk and opportunity management system.

ROMS is designed to provide a consistent, systematic and integrated approach to risk and opportunity management across your entire business.

ROMS is designed to involve stakeholders and capture and harness the knowledge, experience and creative capability of your staff in an interactive, stimulating way using cutting-edge and award-winning multimedia technology.

ROMS provides a unique three-dimensional view of risk and its “cost of control” feature allows negotiation and optimum allocation of risk.

ROMS stakeholder approach aligns with advances in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, integrated reporting and emerging concepts such as shared value, social return on investment (SROI) and Triple Bottom Line reporting.

As the recently released International Integrated Reporting Framework of The International Integrated Reporting Committee (IIRC) states, an integrated report should provide insights into:

  1. “the nature and quality of the organization’s relationships with its key stakeholders, including how and to what extent the organization understands, takes into account and responds to their legitimate needs and interests.”
  2. “the specific risks and opportunities that affect the organization’s ability to create value over the short, medium and long term, and how is the organization dealing with them?”

30th June 2010 - ROMS used by UNSW for ARC Linkage Grant
ROMS is being used by the University of New South Wales for a prestigious Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Grant, partnered with Government Health Authorities in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and New Zealand to explore, for the first time, the resilience of hospital facilities to extreme weather events in Australia and New Zealand.

The research has identified a series of strategies which hospitals are using to improve their resilience to such events which will ensure the reliability and quality of health care is maintained, preventing loss of life and protecting the public. ROMS has provided a systematic framework and process to help our key stakeholders collectively identify common goals in responding to the presented climate change scenario, to ascertain the risks and opportunities associated with these goals, and to assess and prioritize these risks and opportunities.

The outcome of this 3-year research project is a national adaptive strategy for hospital infrastructure to respond to the predicted physical and health-related impacts of climate change, which will cover issues including appropriate future property investment, asset management and facilities management strategies.
